Dean Search
Calling our Next Dean
On January 31, our tenth dean, The Very Reverend Richard Lawson, was elected the thirteenth Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Alabama.
With thanksgiving for Dean Lawson’s nine-year tenure and with excitement for the future of Saint John’s Cathedral, our vestry has begun the search process to guide Saint John’s as we call our next dean.
A Prayer for Our Discernment
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a dean for this cathedral and parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
