Meet Canon Paul
As the Canon for Parish Life, Paul is responsible for overseeing faith formation for all ages and experiences in the Christian journey: coordinating small groups and planning educational offerings; membership integration and fellowship; organizing retreats, quiet days, and community events. He has previously worked in both lay and ordained positions in a number of Episcopal Churches. Paul is a graduate of Berkeley Divinity School, Yale Divinity School, the Longy School of Music of Bard College, and Christopher Newport University.
“I love the diversity and vibrancy of life at Saint John’s; the faithfulness of its people; and the curiosity and love with which they meet one another and our God. This is a truly welcoming place, a house of prayer, and a site of service to all of God’s people.”
Outside of his role as pastor, priest, and teacher, Paul loves reading a good book—often more than one at a time, jumping on his bike for a long ride, boardgames, and sharing conversation over a great meal.
