All Souls Requiem & Grief Forum

General
Dinner & Forum at 6 pm in Dagwell Hall | Requiem at 7 pm

O God, the Maker and Redeemer of all believers: Grant to the faithful departed the unsearchable benefits of the passion of your Son; that on the day of his appearing they may be manifested as your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Our modern culture rarely gives us permission or space to pause and reflect on our mortality. Grief is often rushed, and conversations about death are pushed to the margins. Yet our spiritual tradition does the opposite: it invites us to remember, to tell the truth about our mortality, and to hold both sorrow and love with reverence.

On All Souls’ Day, for our annual Grief Forum at 6 pm, we will have a simple soup supper and conversation around death facilitated by parishioner and death doula, Chad Morris. This will be an open, hospitable conversation about dying, loss, and what it means to live meaningfully. This is not an opportunity for counseling or a panel discussion, but a time for genuine fellowship and reflection with others. Whether you are carrying fresh memories, long-held questions, or simply want to listen, all are welcome.

Afterward, please join us at 7 pm for our annual All Souls Requiem service as we pray for and honor those we love who have gone on to their eternal rest. During which we will pause to remember those who have died and commend them to the loving care of God. Through prayer, Scripture, and sacred music, we honor the lives of those we have loved and lost, while finding comfort in the promise of resurrection and the hope of eternal life. This service will also be livestreamed on our website and YouTube channel.
