Youth Group

Youth focus on building a supportive peer community in order to help one another navigate the challenges of middle and high school. Youth explore how they see themselves within the Bible, but they also are encouraged to openly explore faith and doubt in a safe and welcoming environment.

  • Youth Formation

In youth formation, youth explore their doubts and questions about Scripture and Episcopal theology. We meet every Sunday from 9:15 – 10:15 am in Room 300.

Please note that the youth group schedule has changed at this time due to COVID-19. Contact Youth Minister, Christina Rutland (christina@sjcathedral.org) for how youth group is staying connected.

  • Super Sunday

Super Sunday is our monthly Sunday afternoon gathering for all our youth. We go on various fun outings in Denver such as bowling and ice skating, or we stay on cathedral grounds, playing hide and seek and other games.

Please note that the youth group schedule has changed at this time due to COVID-19. Contact Youth Minister, Christina Rutland (christina@sjcathedral.org) for how youth group is staying connected.

  • Cap Hill Youth Gathering

During this event, high school youth join fellow Episcopal youth to build relationships through food, formation, and games. This quarterly gathering is open to 9 – 12 graders.

Please note that the youth group schedule has changed at this time due to COVID-19. Contact Youth Minister, Christina Rutland (christina@sjcathedral.org) for how youth group is staying connected.

  • Confirmation

All youth in 9 – 12 grade are invited to enroll in the Rite of Confirmation. Confirmation classes meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15 – 10:15 am starting in January of each calendar year and close at the end of March. Confirmands are confirmed at the Easter Vigil.
