Our Ash Wednesday service will be live streamed on February 17 at 12 noon. Bishop Kym Lucas will offer a sermon as we enter the season of Lent. Please worship with us on Facebook, YouTube, or our homepage.
Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes
Following our service, we’re offering in-person communion and imposition of ashes from 1 to 2 pm and 5 to 6 pm. This walk-through offering will follow the process that we use for communion on Sundays. If you need information on parking or want to know more about our safety precautions, please read more here. You can register in advance here, though that’s not required.
We’re also holding a family service at 6:30 pm on Zoom. Families with children of all ages are invited to join as we hear a story about Jesus’ time in the wilderness and impose ashes in our own homes. The service will be under 30 minutes, and it will be a time for us to wind down from our day and invite one another into the observance of a Holy Lent. To join, click here at the time of the service. The waiting room feature is on, so please have your full name listed in order for us to recognize your family.
Beginning on Thursday, February 18, members of our community are gathering on Zoom for Evening Prayer. All are invited to join this lay-led prayer service at 5 pm, every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in Lent. During Holy Week this group will meet on Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, and Holy Wednesday, and not on Maundy Thursday.
