Friends of Music

  • Saint John’s Cathedral has a rich history of musical tradition, including presenting musical programming for our parish but also for music lovers from the wider community. Our music program enriches our liturgies, but it also produces concerts that enhance the musical offerings around the city by drawing nationally and internationally known solo artists and ensembles to perform at the cathedral. Friends of Music is dedicated to promoting and sustaining Saint John’s Cathedral’s music program.

  • Friends of Music is made up of parishioners and friends from the wider community who love and appreciate our musical tradition in worship and our community concert programming, and it serves as the recognition society for patrons of our musical programming. Membership gifts support our music ministry and sponsorships help sustain our special worship services, such as the Festival Eucharists at Christmas and Easter and our monthly Evensongs. Our community concert series also relies on support from Friends of Music as we host events that feature visiting choirs and instrumental groups, as well as our own internationally renowned organ and choir.
