This workshop will cover food insecurity challenges today and three pieces of proposed federal legislation that address food insecurity, systemic racism, and environmental irresponsibility in our agricultural system. We will also offer a primer on social justice advocacy you can use on these issues and other issues in the future.

All are welcome to attend and a light lunch will be provided. This workshop is related to the Farm Bill letters we wrote in March but is more informational and educational. We will discuss other pieces of legislation, including the Justice for Black Farmers Act and the College Hunger Act, and there will be an opportunity to write a letter about the Farm Bill to Senator Michael Bennett for those who haven’t written one yet.
