Dean’s Forum with the Reverend Liz Tichenor

Mapping the Topography of Grief

The Rev Liz Tichenor had already lost her mother to addiction and was serving as a camp chaplain when her infant son died suddenly, soon after being pronounced healthy by an urgent care physician. Her book, The Night Lake, charts her journey, with her husband and young daughter, through grief to hope through the long, slow labor of surviving and learning to live again. Ann Lamott writes that Liz’s story is “so life-affirming, filled with spirit and love.” Please join Liz as we continue to explore the ways hope and grief live together and how the incarnation calls us more deeply into both, in Advent and beyond.
