Balance: Gentle Yoga & Movement

Balance is not only dependent on physical agility and staying upright as we age. It is concerned with inner and outer Self awareness–alignment of body and Spirit. While it’s based on yoga –the simplicity of breathing, stretching and strengthening it is also designed to help you experience your own unique being through easy free movement. After 30 minutes of deep breathing and mindful movement, we turn to gentle guided relaxation in our chairs which naturally flows into a few moments of stillness where we may access God’s healing presence within us.

As we face the physical/mental challenges of aging, we may also come to rediscover and savor our beloved inner child in its eternal abundance of energy, possibility and spirit of adventure! As we become more open and self- loving, we learn to (for)give and receive more fully, and we age in a more conscious way.

Coordinator: Georgann Bunny Low is a Spiritual Director, graduate of Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, Washington,D.C. She has been teaching and practicing yoga and meditation for over 50 years.
