Beloved Movie Screening: My Name is Pauli Murray

In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, Beloved will host a screening of the documentary My Name is Pauli Murray on Sunday, October 11 at 1:30 pm in Dagwell Hall. The film chronicles the life of the Reverend Pauli Murray, a civil rights lawyer and Episcopal priest: “Overlooked by history, Pauli Murray was a legal trailblazer whose ideas influenced RBG’s fight for gender equality and Thurgood Marshall’s civil rights arguments. This is a portrait of their impact as a non-binary Black luminary: lawyer, activist, poet, and priest who transformed our world.”

Doors open at 12:45 with light snacks, the film will begin promptly at 1:30 pm. After the screening, there will be a group reflection and discussion on the film. All are welcome and the screening is free to attend.
