Join Canon Paul Keene for Get Thee Up into the High Mountain: Exploring the Peaks of the Bible, a Bible Study for folks in their 20s & 30s that will meet the first Sunday of each month, October through May. Stories throughout the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments, take place on “the Mountain.” Of course, “the Mountain” is actually a number of different mountains—even hills, for that matter. What can we learn from their frequent appearance and the stories that take place on their foothills and summits? How does the biblical imagination invite us to consider our own relationship to geography and the mountains of our lives, literal and metaphorical? From Mt. Sinai & Mt. Zion to Mt. Tabor & Mt. Hermon, in this Bible Study, we’ll constantly meet God in the liminal space of “the Mountain.”
