Christmas at the Cathedral

  • Celebrating Christmas at the Cathedral

On Christmas Eve, we’ll offer two services in the cathedral’s tradition. At 1 pm, a family service will go live online with the clergy reading the nativity. At 5 pm, we’ll stream a traditional choral Eucharist with incense. As always, you can watch these services on our website or on YouTube.

On Christmas morning, in lieu of a service, we’ll host an in-person reception of Holy Communion from 10 to 11 am with our organist playing Christmas music. It’s best to register in advance here, though that’s not required.

This year, Rocky Mountain PBS will broadcast “Carols at the Cathedral” on Christmas Eve at 8:30 pm and Christmas Day at 4:30 pm. Dr. Michael Boney and Joseph O’Berry, joined by our Vicars Choral, will share a few beloved Christmas hymns and anthems for this program, and Dean Richard will offer a short reflection.
