Liaisons needed
Did you know that Saint John's Cathedral, as part of our outreach and service ministries, provides grants to up to 25 community agencies each year? These are agencies providing basic needs, health services, educational services and social services to needy members of our community. We are looking for individuals to serve as liaisons to each of these agencies. Liaisons provide a vital link between the agency and Saint John's Cathdedral, bringing a face from Saint John's to the agency and by telling the agancy story to Saint John's. Being a liaison involves a couple of visits a year, following up with questions that arise during the granting process during the fall and early winter, and being the point person for Minute for Missions and other related contact. If you wish to volunteer to be a liaison to one of our associated agencies, please email Canon Rebecca Crummey at rebecca@sjcathedral.org. Or call her 303 831 7115 ext. 7704.
Pastoral Care
The clergy of Saint John's Cathedral are ready to respond to the urgent pastoral needs of our congregation, on any day, at any time. To reach a priest, please call Phyllis Mize at 303.831.7115, during office hours. After hours, our voice mail system will direct you to the priest on duty.
SOAR
We have an active, seniors ministry with monthly activities involving field trips, fun, learning, fellowship, food and care for one another.
Our Committee on Aging plans regular events for the seniors of the Cathedral and surrounding community, typically on the second Thursday of the Month. All are welcome. For more information, contact Bunny McPhee.
Parish Nurse
Saint John's Cathedral has a parish nursing and health program. Blood pressures are taken on the first Sunday of each month. Our parish nurse, Joan Jarboe, RN, is available to answer medical questions. She can be reached by email, at 303.866.8366, or at our SOAR events.
