A Welcome from Stephen Tappe, Director of Music
Saint John's Cathedral has enjoyed a long history of fine music making and musical offerings to the city of Denver and beyond.
Please explore the web site.
Music at Saint John's is deeply rooted in our parish community, the City of Denver and beyond. The music of Sunday masses and other liturgies draws us all into a more profound experience of God. Our singers know the deep rewards of contributing to the work of a choir. The historic pipe organ shakes our Cathedral with its power and beauty. Regular concerts, many of which are free, allow us to share our facilities with all of the Diocese of Colorado and with the City of Denver.
In addition to welcoming you and inviting you to attend our liturgical and concert performances, I urge you to take advantage of the many other offerings we provide: an after school program of music education for children in our choirs; free concerts for those who volunteer regularly in the Saint Cecilia Guild of Concert Ushers; the camaraderie and spirituality which come through choir involvement - and you do not have to be a member of the Cathedral to be involved in any of this.
Come make beautiful music with us.
