SOAR: Seniors On A Rampage
We have an active, seniors ministry with monthly activities involving field trips, fun, learning, fellowship, food and care for one another.
SOAR plans regular events for the seniors of the Cathedral and surrounding community, typically on the second Thursday of the Month. All are welcome because it's not for seniors only. Our parish nurse usually comes along too.

A Movie in Dagwell Hall

Join us to watch a FREE showing of the movie, Quartet (2012). “At a home for retired musicians, the annual concert to celebrate Verdi's birthday is disrupted by the arrival of Jean, an eternal diva and the former wife of one of the residents” IMDb. Stars: Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, and Billy Connolly.
Cost: $3.00 per person if you would like to have popcorn and drink; pay at the door. No charge to only watch the movie.

Celebrate America

SOAR invites you to join us for hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, baked beans, and dessert while listening to patriotic music to Celebrate America.
Cost: $10 per person; pay at the door. Beer will be available for $3 per bottle.

SOAR Trip to the Arkansas Valley
Join SOAR on our trip through Colorado’s beautiful and historic Arkansas Valley. Our trip will include stops in several historic towns and Episcopal Churches. We will also have a train ride with lunch on the famous Royal Gorge Rail Road.

The cost for this 4-day 3-night adventure is:
$418.00 per person for double occupancy
$575.00 per person for single occupancy
Price includes:
• Travel by air conditioned motor coach equipped with restroom.*
• Accommodations.
• Train tickets.
• 1 Box lunch.
• 2 Dinners.
• Complimentary breakfast at hotel.
*Please let us know if you are wheelchair restricted because this will influence the type of coach we will need.

10:00 am - Leave for Iron Horse Ranch, Texas Creek CO
12:00 Noon - Western Cookout - visit old Hoehne Depot, climb in the 1899 D&RG caboose, walk the rail bed of the old D&RG Texas Creek/Westcliffe Line.
2:30 pm - Depart for the Beckwith Ranch
3:00 pm - Tour the Beckwith Ranch c1869 - 1880
4:00 pm - Depart for Westcliffe
5:00 pm - Evening Prayer at St Luke’s Episcopal Church c1877
6:00 pm - Spaghetti Supper at St Luke’s

• A nonrefundable deposit of $275.00 per person is due by June 15, 2013.
• The absolute deadline for the balance is August 15, 2013.

Refunds and Cancellations
Refund Policy: The established fee (per person cost) is based on the minimum number of people needed to participate in this event;
• Deposits will not be refunded.
• Refunds for cancellations made after the due date will be considered based on the following criterion: Did S.O.A.R. incur a nonrefundable expense (e.g., event tickets, hotel reservations, transportation charges, prepaid meals)? If so, that portion of the fee will not be returned. In any case, a full refund after the due date cannot be guaranteed.
